1.This product is connected in series to the protected device.
2.Mount the SPD on the 35 mm DIN rail.
3.The (1/3, 2/4) 4-lines for input terminal ;the (5/7,6/8) 4-lines for output terminal should be connected to the protected devices.
4.A pair of 1/3 & 2/4 input terminal for RS485; and input terminal 1/3, 2/4 for RS422.
5.SPD to be safely earthed via the DIN rail; earth lead must be connected to the earthing system, ideally using 6mm² cable. The cable should be as short as possible.
6. After above, you should ensure the circuit is functing.
Regulary inspect the operating status, especially after lightning. Once the communication is off, electrician should check/ replace the SPD.
